(Paul or Neil) Young
Dark Hoarse, you and I must have been born pretty close to each other, as my "Life Song" is also Show Me Heaven.
Prefer those when I was born though :
UK - Mouldy Old Dough (Lieutenant Pigeon) US - My Ding-A-Ling (Chuck Berry)
First ever single - Making Plans For Nigel by XTC

Madcap, I think Mouldy Old Dough replaced David Cassidy ay number one, thus making me very slightly older (damnit).
Anyway it's time for a new topic. Let's do childrens' TV programmes!
Starting with (The) Adventure Game. For those of you unlucky enough not to remember that, it included a talking aspidistra, a backwards-talking bloke, some funny-shaped currency, incredibly difficult puzzles and most awesomely of all The Mighty Vortex, which used to swallow up unwitting celebs at the climax of each show. I seem to remember Keith Chegwin was particularly bad at avoiding the Vortex....every single time he appeared....!

I remember The Adventure Game. For years I thought I had just dreamed it, as I could not remember the name.

Dangermouse Dangermouse! DANGERMOUSE!!!
Surely the funniest cartoon ever: some of the gags would have graced a decent sitcom. Also, one of my nicknames at school was based on one of the characters...

Not Penfold, no.
Baron Greenback, actually. I leave it to your imagination why, but you may find a clue in my username!
And the witch was Grotbags, by the way.
Here's an obscure one for F: Finders Keepers with Richard Stilgoe. Basically like computer battleships on telly.

FREGGLES (I know ... it starts with F and we techniccaly already had an 'F' ... but I just really wanted to write something about this programme!)
I absolutely adored the little puppets. And then the talking dunghill (had to look up this word in the dictionary ... hope it's used correctly!) and the little working guys who were constantly building. Of course the Freggles loved eating whatever they were building ... so nothing much was left when they were hungry!
Hope you guys actually know the show ... otherwise it would be kinda weird telling you I loved watching a show with talking dunghills.
LOVED IT!
