Its good to see you back Yil Thanks very much, Flamingo. Good to be back and speaking with you all again. Wow do I need glasses. I thought it was Reiko Aylesworth with her hair down . LOL! 20th July. Only 17 days woohoo! That warrants an advent style calendar. But I'm too lazy so one of those huge bars of Dairy Milk Turkish Delight will do. Or maybe 2....

Well if there's 17 days, you really need multiples of 17....

I've been away from this site for a couple of months and how encouraging it isn't to see that things in the world of Channel 4 just don't change.
You all remember that bit in TWW where Jed has just seen Jerry Springer and asks Charlie, "Tell me, these people don't vote do they?" I was powerfully reminded of that sentiment when accidentally catching B** B****** recently. Not just the inhabitants but the texters and their "X should OF been evicted not Y..." crap. They really excelled themselves this time...
And for this, we get no terrestrial WW ever again in all likelihood. That's the channel that once brought you GBH, Brass Eye & Father Ted (among many other admirable new shows) folks.

But is it actually worth waiting for? This time last year there were all those ace trailers all the time and it was obvious season 4 was excellent. This time I haven't seen one trailer apart from a brief shot of Martin Sheen looking very flustered (though I admit I haven't been watching much of E4 lately, can't think why...). And received wisdom is not entirely complimentary about life post-Sorkin. I haven't read any S5 spoilers, but it'd be nice to feel reassured that it's NOT THAT BAD. I mean, we're not talking recent EastEnders levels of shiteness, are we? Does Mandy come back...?

I've seen all of series 5 and I think that it is quite good - I was lead to believe that the tempo that the characters speak with had gone and I don't think it has at all. Some of the episodes are excellent towards the end of the series.

Some of the episodes are excellent towards the end of the series. I've seen most s5 eps, and I agree there are some fantastic ones, and the dialogue wasn't as bad as I'd expected it to be. However, there were some moments when you just thought, "That, right there, was them trying to be Sorkinesque, and failing miserably." Only he can pull off the quirky dialogue thing. Two days minus 11 minutes!
