I wouldn't post something like this for my own fun-I know how I would feel if TWW was taken off the air here in Ireland. Obviously there could be a big mix up but I don't believe the person who contacted c4 would post something so serious just for fun. That person says they live in the UK so it obviously affects them too. Maybe contacting c4 yourself is the way to go and if the information I posted is wrong I do apologise but please believe that I only posted the info because I know a lot of people are looking for info about season four on c4.

Scandal!
C4 won't say a thing about their schedules. Same 'two week embargo' bullshit they said about season three enquiries.
Still, their treatment of Third Watch is less than encouraging. But I would put money on season four being shown, most likely in a 'graveyard' slot.

I hope it is a big mix up and c4 do show TWW. I think showing it in a grave yard slot is wrong too. In Ireland its shown at 10.45pm on a Thursday-which isn't as bad as 11.30 on a monday for season 3 on c4.

Had to laugh at a letter on teletext over the weekend complaining at the poor treatment of ER cos they've moved it from Wednesday at 9 to Wednesday at 10.

I just got the following from, C4's FAQ's "West Wing We are currently planning to bring series four to Channel 4 later this year but are unable to confirm any details at present." They had better do, or I am gonna have to create my own TV channel and bring my favourite yet widely mistreated programmes onto it( for an idea of what these are, please look at affliates table below) It seems that this year, the schedulers of all 5 channels are out to annoy the hell outta me

Over on the Television Without Pity forum I saw a post that said c4 will be airing season 4 in the next few weeks. I don't know how accurate this is but I thought I'd share!!

The 'next few weeks' story was probably taken from this:
26 Feb 04
C4 chief on lookout for U.S. hits
LONDON -- The new program honcho at Blighty's Channel 4 is turning up the heat in the hunt for new U.S. programs. "With 'Friends,' 'Sex and the City' and 'Frasier' all coming to an end, the challenge is to find new shows," said Kevin Lygo, speaking at the web's spring launch, his first since rejoining C4 last year.
Lygo strongly stressed to Hollywood distributors that the station can provide a better showcase for their fare than rival satellite net Sky One. "Sky has very deep pockets: They paid a small fortune for 'Nip/Tuck' and '24.' But terrestrial channels like Channel 4 can offer U.S. programs a profile they don't get on Sky because after the initial flurry it's easy to forget they are there.
"We've got the best track record in nurturing these shows, and that gives us a competitive advantage, but it is getting harder, and at the end of the day it's all about the power of the dollar."
Among series that will air on C4 in the coming weeks are the first season of Warner Bros.' "The OC" and the fifth season of "The West Wing."
With "Friends" bowing out in May, and "The Simpsons," poached at huge expense from BBC2, not available until the fall, this year's L.A. Screenings will be of particular interest to C4.
Meanwhile, the web, under pressure from a revived ITV1, the U.K.'s biggest commercial net, announced several programs to rescue its reputation for cutting-edge fare.
Shows include "The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off," a moving docu about a man facing death with an incurable skin condition; "Omagh," a drama docu examining an IRA bombing that killed 29 people; and "Bollywood Star," a four-part search for the first British Bollywood superstar.
------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess the 'fifth season' thing is a typo that got into the mix somewhere along the line. Season is currently now scheduled to appear in the next few weeks though : (
Just going on previous form, March is usually when a new season gets off the ground. I'm sure S1 and S2 began in March. S3 began in Feb, though. Still, who knows!

I am not holding out for C4 to sort out it's scheduling issues! Does anyone know when they are releasing S4 on DVD?

So far the only word, confirmed by one source www.play.com is that the dvd for season four will be released 13 September this year. Further to the speculation is that WB are going to include special features this time around following the ass kicking they got down their phone lines from irate purchasers of season three. season three really was a crappy release. If season four is the same as that was then I'm no longer buying British and will get the region one releases instead despite the delayed release they have over in the states.
