Mary-Louise Parker, absent from "The West Wing" since 2003, says she's returning to the NBC series later this season.

Parker's last appearance on the show was in October 2003, when she incurred the anger of President Bartlett (Martin Sheen) over a domestic-violence bill. The real reason, though, was her pregnancy, Zap2it.com said. She gave birth to a son last January.
"At a certain point, I couldn't, like, stand behind a desk any more and hold a file," she said. "You know, it just got to be ludicrous."
She says she's coming back to guest-star in "a few" episodes later this season and it should not interfere with her upcoming Showtime series "Weeds."
