I'm sure CNN also credited West Wing with a writing Emmy, but if they did they switched it back. I counted three awards earlier, now I count two.
I'm actually surprised it won the award for outstanding drama series. We know full well it's a great show, but I thought that having won this award three times in a row already may have meant it was time for something else to get a look in. But no that's not the case, all four seasons are now the Outstanding Drama Series of their year.

I'm sure I read about another emmy somewhere. I'll have to check through and get back later.

At least they won best drama series. Thought Allison Janney might have won best actress. WW definately only won two emmys. I loved it how when tww won best drama series and they were all walking up on to the stage Martin Sheen came striding down the aisle, very presidential.

The Times also wrongly credited the West Wing with the Writing Gong .....great picture though.

Whatever you do, don't trust the BBC. Their write-up claimed that Six Feet Under, 24, and CSI went home empty handed when that's not the case. SFU won at least two, 24 won at least two and CSI won something.
I'm glad I'm not going crazy since I'm not the only person who noticed The West Wing winning for it's writing, so I did count three, even though it won a total of two.
Has transtlantic communication been disrupted by someone or something? I never know anything as simple as an awards show being reported wrongly like this.

Did anyone think to yell "FOUR MORE YEARS!" in Presidential-election style when they went up?
