From The Mirror TV guide.
1) He can string a sentance together.
2) He isn't supported by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
3) He has a Nobel Prize - Bush was a slacker at Yale.
4) Bartlat's daughters are well behaved and shun the limelight.
5) Look at their pictures. Which would you trust?

I would add to that (many things probably but this is the first that springs to mind): he has the personal courage and integrity to question his faith where appropriate. For example Dr. Jacobs in The Mid-Terms was proferring a Biblical argument I would think W would uphold...

I only need one reason: Bartlet is a good person Bush is not.
But when you also consider this, it's not even close to being a fare fight:
Bartlet is nice while Bush is not ...is a democrat ... is a republican ...has a sense of humour ... has not ...is charismatic ... is not ...is idealistic ... is unprincipled
On the other hand, this is just a much more boring way to get to the same point as spike, so, I will just stop here and cut my inexhaustible store of reasons.
Instead I will go watching the show with swedish subtitles for the first time since they were sent on TV (I happens to be swedish). I love DVD
Happy New Year everybody!

Well princeton, you're lucky after all!!! I'm a Spanish fan, and there are no Spanish edition of TWW avalaible here. In addition to this, the network which is currently broadcasting TWW with Spanish soundtrack does not respect the squeduled times for TWW. I finally got enough and started buying TWW british edition DVD's through Amazon, which DO NOT have spanish subtitles, of course. I'm able to understand the most of the dialogue, but I would prefer if it had only that poor text line at the bottom of the screen, with dialogues transcripted in SPANISH, PLEASE!!! There are Spanish fans for this great tv show, too!!! Let's hope 2005 bring us 5th season DVD's with one more language subtitled. Is it so much for Warner to accomplish this goal??
