I've just got my complete set season 3 DVD, it was £44 on-line. While not advertising it had Special Features, in the booklet it states 4 double sided discs, disc 4 is all Special Features, and some programmes have Commentary. This booklet is wrong. You get 6 single sided discs, none of which have any Special Features nor Commentary. My guess is the booklet is for US issue, and they get 4 discs, we get 6, they get the 4th with Special Features, we don't, nor any Commentarys. Anyone come accross this, anyone know if UK is getting the a updated issue with Specila Features etc. Anyone know any other UK issue which incl Special Features. Mine was in a green box, not like season 1 and 2 at all.

Because it's false advertising first complain to WB, if they don't do anything complain to trading standards & see what they have to say about it.
I might persuade my parents to complain, trading standards are pretty good, we've had to complain to them about something else in the last few months.

It doesn't actually advertise the Special Features on the box, just lists them in the internal leaflet. So I guess WB would say No Ad=No Complaint allowed. I returned my DVD box set to the store, no probs at all, full refund plus P&P - excellent service, they say they will simply remove the leaflet before selling them. This is why I guess so many DVDs now have no contents flyer in them. I just wish we had got the Special Features here in UK, perhaps later issues will have them - I'll wait

The false advertising is only part of the booklet.
The rest of the packaging has been specially made for us UK people, bless their cotton socks at WB for taking the time and effort to notice us. It's a case that holds six disks whereas the US packaging is designed to hold only four.
But the fact remains that the booklet has a PG logo on it. You'll only get a PG logo in the UK, so WB still has to answer for the damn thing.
The dual layer thing is correct. Your six DVDs are dual layer discs. Single sided dual layer discs often called DVD 9 (because it's a shorter name than single sided dual layer disc). The US DVDs are double sided dual layer discs called DVD 18. Dual layer is a method of doubling the capacity of standard DVDs, and is, I suppose, two DVDs pressed together.
DVD 9 can hold 8.5 GB of data, that's around four hours of good - high quality video.
DVD 18 is the same as above, with two sides. Like four DVDs pressed into one.
The standard DVD is DVD 5, single sided, single layered. These hold 4.4 GB of data/around two hours of good - high quality video. These are what you can buy blank and make your own DVDs with.

Phew! That was anal!

Has anyone bought the US DVDs? Cos I was wondering whether to get them shipped over so I could see the special features.
I did it with Firefly when it first came out over there and it didn't work out all that bad money wise-- I was just wondering whether anyone had already done this... what are the special features like?
