Danny a redeaming 5, because of the santa claws come back. That was brilliant! Ryan gets a 8 too. Grrr. How about Ann Stark? She gets a 9 from me because she totally screwed poor Toby over, and she's mean.

Yep, I'd go for Ann Stark for the Toby moment too, but that was the only time so perhaps a 6 for me.

With the Mandyometer swinging all over the place, here's another update for you: Again, a reminder that it's scores that matter, not just vented spleen! (e.g. Will's low placing is due to his nominator not giving him a score). All scores are averages, number of votes in brackets. 1. Jean-Paul le Royale Francais 10.25 (4; all 9.9s rounded up to 10) 2. MANDY HAMPTON 9.6 (now based on actual votes: 5 of them) 3. = Winifred Hooper 8 (2) 3. = Ryan Parry 8 (2) 3. = Angela Blake 8 (1) 6. Ann Stark 7.5 (2) 7. Zoey Bartlet 7.25 (2) 8. Amy Gardner 6.75 (4) 9. John Hoynes 6.67 (3) 10. Doug 6.64 (7) 11. Connie 5.75 (4) 12. Bruno Gianelli 5.25 (4) 13. Ainsley Hayes 3.67 (3) 14. Will Bailey 3.5 (2) 15. and last Danny Concannon 2.6 (5) Controversy reigns as the Queen of Irritation loses her crown. Will this thread be re-named the Jean-Paulometer? Or will the Queen usurp the princely pretender? Only you can decide... (STOP PRESS: now includes votes below to 28/4/04)

Yay for Danny!
Question: Can someone remind me who Angela Blake is? Seem to be going crazy...
New candidate for the Mandyometer: AINSLEY HAYES! Something pathologically irritating about her. Anyway, (remembers rules of the game) she gets a 7 from me.

Lora
Angela Blake, brought in by Leo, when josh makes is moment of misjudgement and has to suffer at the helm for a while. We learn that she used to be Leo's depty when he was at Education (i think).

I quite like Ainsley, so I'd give her a three. She does have her irritating moments but they're the cute kind of irritating.

Ainsley Hayes? I'd give her 1. As indeed would most men, I suspect. (yes, I know it's an old and corny joke... but I honestly never found her irritating either!) And others nominated since I last voted: Bruno would get a 4 (reduced very substantially by the necklace and the liberalism speech). The S5 people I haven't come across yet. And Will would only get 4: bit awkward to start with but improved a lot, some great touches in his initial dealings with Jed, Toby etc, and in The California 47th he was superb.

Yep DarkHoarse, so would i too, but we realy shouldn't go there, although sometimes the old ones are the best.
Also DarkHoarse and Lora re Angela Blake it is S5, hence not wanting to say too much.
Han was a great episode, remember spending most of the night tracking down the Chopin music.

I like Ainsley. She's always very funny. Loved the bits when she met the President.

For newer members who wish to vent some spleen... and indeed for those of us new to the simply delightful extra characters in season 5!

Angela Blake - 5. She's pointless when she appears on screen, but at least she doesn't leave you seething in irritation for minutes after she leaves it.
Josh's Intern - 6.5. He gets in the way, and the chances of his saving Josh's hide (like he did with some guy before Josh got put on the bench) are about as likely as me becoming POTUS. So up he goes.

In order to redress the balance, and put Mandy back where she belongs, here are the results of the Peterborough Jury: Jean-Paul 8.5 (I really hate him, but not as much as Mandy, so I need to get the gap down!) MANDY HAMPTON 12 (Should get the average back up to about 10!) Winifred Hooper 8 (definitely an anoying little *$£&* Ryan Parry 5 (Quite like his "I am so rich and my dad is so successful" arrogance) Angela Blake 9.5 (what a crap character!) Ann Stark 3 (leave her alone - she was just doing her job!) Zoey Bartlet 5 Amy Gardner 6 John Hoynes 3 (great protrayal of a frustrated VP) Doug 8 Connie 4 (she was cute!) Bruno Gianelli 2 (Bruno is awesome) Ainsley Hayes -10 (I can't give anyone that stunning a mark higher than 0) Will Bailey 7 (gets more and more anoying as S5 goes on) Danny Concannon 2 (as has been said before, the secret plan to fight inflation gives him a much better score than he would otherwise have got)

I'd agree with a 7 for Will. Only annoying cuz he's a) boring and b) not Sam, but that's enough for me.

Will has somehow been turned from an admirable idealist into an irritating little priss (who abandoned his idealism for political gain at the first opportunity!) during season 5, I blame the writers!
