Just interested to know how many people have wingnutted their friends, and if there are any stories accompanying that. I've only wingnutted one friend, but within two days of watching the pilot she was as obsessed as me, and missed doing a very important essay because she watched a whole half a series without stopping.

I've managed to persuade my boyfriend to watch it. We've watched S1, S2 & the first few eps of S3 that I have downloaded, but am waiting to borrrow the S3 DVDs from my parents to finish it.

I've wingnutted my boyfriend too, it was a kinda "love me, love the West Wing" thing! I also got my mother really into it, she now loves it almost as much as I do!

I am yet to achieve this, though it sounds wonderful: a ready-made excuse to watch everything again with the added bonus of seeing someone else enjoy all of the evolving plots and characters (and I hope you didn't spoil your bfs/friends!)
The closest I came was at an interminably dull football match (Sheff Utd v Preston, Dec 02) with an old uni mate and he happened to mention TWW (I had no idea he was a fan). Spent almost the whole 90 minutes talking about season 3 (he didn't have E4 and was about 6 weeks behind), so apologies to anyone near us who was watching the game intently...
