I suppose it's a result. Having shown the final episode of series four only once - with no apparent plan to repeat it as would be usual, C4 has chosen to schedule a repeat on E4 following a several viewer complaints. Eat that humble pie. However, Channel 4's strategy of targeting a teen audience still pays off with bull such as Shattered, so West Wing is still a long way from ever getting a terrestrial repeat flogging like Friends and ER.

What happened to Season Three on C4, about a year ago? I'd seen the E4 showing and was quite happily watching the C4 repeats on Saturdays (I like to see each episode at least twice ) and then all of a sudden it got relegated to graveyard shift (11pm or so) at which point I gave up. But C4 don't seem to have finished the season... and they seem awfully reticent about showing Season Four, which hacks me off cos I missed a month or so in the middle.

. Channel 4 did finish showing the season just at random times during the week in the graveyard timeslot.

Does anyone know when season 4 will air because, really, I might cry if it doesn't happen soon!

I think we may be surprised with the release of the whole of season 3 on DVD. Also the fact that channel 4 have been including west wing characters on mass in the lastest what? thingy along with the likes of Davina, Dermot etc looks to me they are trying to raise the profile.... why would they spend money on getting the likes of Alison, Brad, Jannel, Richard and John who would not come cheap if they were not going to promote a series?

Oooh, good point. I love those ads! I have to tell everyone in the house to 'shush' when they are on incase they include a West Wing person!

Here's a link to one of those adverts that you WON'T see on C4. www.channel4.com/ads/index1.htmlWhat's your favourite swearword? Richard Schiff's answer is brilliant. (I believe it will be aired on Film4 from today but only after 10.)

Do you know where you can find vids or at least quotes of their answers from the other questions?

This seemed like the right place for a rant not entirely related to The West Wing (though the continued absence of S4 is bloody criminal!). Last night C4 showed the network premiere of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, of which they were no doubt very proud. So I'd just like to thank them from the heart of my bottom (copyright Nick Faldo, 1992) for not letting viewers like me hear the exquisite cello - played by Yo Yo Ma, see it is a kind of TWW-related rant after all! - played over the end credits. Instead, what viewers like me, for whom films don't necessarily end with the final image, and who were completely immersed in a great film, MUCH preferred was to be rudely awakened by YET ANOTHER gratuitous trailer for sodding Film Four, which went on for 2 bloody minutes telling us to subscribe. And then the continuity announcer tells us about the late night film, then all is silence. I know trailers and talking over credits are a fact of TV life now, but you'd think they could limit it to regular programmes not network premieres of Oscar-winning films.
So thanks again C4, you suck.

Gah. And the annoying thing is, FilmFour isn't even that good. I don't have it, but I know several people who subscribed and then unsubscribed again because the choice of films isn't really that good.

It's truly crap (Film Four that is) just can't quite be arsed to unsubscribe.
Also just a thought, relating to the appearance of the cast on those C4 inserts, often when a show is sold abroad the cast also have to do some promo work for the station that it's been sold too...might account for their appearance...
