Yeah I used the pre-order on amazon as well and my dvds arrived on monday morning. They even sent me an email on the saturday saying it was dispatched.
Mines was just sent using normal posting, 1st class. I would be majorly peeved if you still hadn't had any word at all from amazon, have you tried to contact them?

Have discovered that the fault was not at Amazon's end but at my dad's. He decided it would be a good idea to save himself some money on postage by linking it with some stupid thing my sister wanted - which doesn't ship for another two weeks. Needless to say that as soon as I found out I had a massive go at him and unlinked the orders, but this put the dispatch date back another five days, so by estimates I won't get them till next week. Have e-mailed Amazon to ask if they'll send them out quicker though.

Well, I got it two days after e-mailing, so I guess Amazon is pretty good. I then watched the whole series in a day and a half (thank god for holidays).

Only done the first half so far. It's actually better than I remembered it to be: the original problem was obviously just feverish anticipation after Two Cathedrals. Although, of course, Bartlet For America is like a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue compared to the Bell's of the previous episodes.

Yeah, it's not a bad series all in all, but with the exception of BFA, and possibly Women of Qumar and one or two others, I found it didn't really take off until the last couple - the one before Black Vera Wang as I remember. The combined assault of CJ&Simon and the Shareef story (and I forgot just how fast that happened) sent into a great series ending - but it looked like a bottle of Smirnoff next to Two Cathedrals (shaky analogy I know ).
