It's a bank holiday today which, in some peoples opinion, makes today an extension of a Sunday. So with nothing to do I thought I'd make a start on a new website for TWW. Needless to say I haven't gotten very far. But that's not to say I won't. This new task however has given me the opportunity to look back through all the other websites I've made over the years - all dead now - from the archived pages I burned onto a CD.
It brought to my attention this.
"Mr Adams,
I have read your articles on your page and i am horrified at the language and right wing views expressed, plus the use of digitally altered pictures depicting the prime minister of this country holding hands with the President of the United States. Add to that the insinuation that Mr Blair punched Mr Bush. Totally unfounded and untrue. I am not impressed and am asking if you could remove the offending article at once.
If not, i will not revisit the ________ site, which I feel anyway, is overly slanderous and based on little or no fact. I am a student of Politics and know what I'm talking about. What I thought might be a clever satirical site is nothing more than an online version of the Daily Sport, not that I read that particular newspaper but I do know what it prints.
Do respond to my complaint within seven days or I may take further action. My request is simple, remove the bull from your articles.
Yours,
________ @hotmail.com"
The part I most like about that is the "I'm a student of politics and know what I'm talking about" bit. Well, I've been a student of both politics and journalism so stick that up your arse and spit it out your mouth.
