Not exactly a dramatic episode in any way, shape or form (except maybe for Bartlet's MS making itself known). But still essential viewing. Baiting: Part Two. Last week Toby, this week Josh.
Obviously Bartlet was going to win. The only unsure part being if he wins New Hampshire, his home state.

But the real suspense came from the California 47th and the dramatic irony of no-one (other than Donna) knowing about Sam's particular interest in a previously obscure race...
The 'filler' bits in this episode were very much filler, unfortunately (Charlie and the big lad; Debbie's meeting rules) which rather detracted from an otherwise interesting story.

yay i can join in and kid on i have e4 like the rest of you fancy people. actually this is one of the random ones from series 4 i saw when i was on holiday.
despite seeing it out of context i think i got the jist. thought it was a good but not amazing episode. the filler stuff wasnt so bad. liked donna/ christian slater stuff. but have to say i am not liking will bailey at all. if he is to be a perm sam replacement (not a spoiler i am just assuming) i hope they do more with this character and he grows on me. he is kind of dull just now.

Rob Lowe's a big sissy who kept complaining about screen time (or lack of it). And pay. "They get more pocket money than me, where's my comfort blanket?". (SPOILERS AHEAD highlight to read) The funny thing being that since he made clear his intention to leave, he's spent much of season four with Martin Sheen and gets and actual storyline that we can follow. Sacrifice being, it's his exit storyline, and it started in this episode. Next week's episode is a good Sam episode, and after that that's it, you're not gonna see Sam again for some months. You'll see his face on the opening credits but not in the show. Shame, but, it's a good slap in the face for his whining
And that's what I think, anyway.

I don't have anything against Charlie, it was just that this subplot didn't really go anywhere and took up too much screen time. Of course I will miss Sam, but let's be honest, so little has been done with his character since "Somebody's Going To Emergency..." or "100,000 Airplanes", that of all 8-9 regulars he's probably the most 'dispensable'. And it does sound like there's a bit of an ego problem there. Well he did star in St. Elmo's Fire after all, so how could there not be..? (just satire folks, I do think Lowe is - now - a fine actor!)

I think the Charlie sub plot links back to the College Kids episode and Rock the Vote, trying to demostrate the difficulty getting young people to vote and take an interest in politics. It could have probably been dealt with a bit better.
Anyway the non-normal size Kid provided us with a classic Josh Comedy moment - I was in stiches.
Overall this was a really good episode - Donna shouting at the poeple outside the polling station - Toby setting up Josh ... - Sam and the turn three times and spit - Bartlet winning so convincingly - Bartlet's MS - Donna and Sam's friendship

I thought this was a really good episode. Loved the bit when Josh was set up and when the big guy knocked Josh over. I do think that they could have made a little more of the election, a little more suspense and excitement perhaps.

Yeah, I really thought that the election would be a major part of this series but it turned out to be a bit of a non event. Not the greatest episode by a long shot, but still enough material to make it enjoyable. Plus, Toby uttered an absolutely unforgettable line (see below...)

Thought last nights episode wrapped up the election quite well. Loved it how bartlet and Abby kept getting interupted.

Hmm. For something as predictable as Bartlet's re-election, this episode (Process Stories) was quite good, perhaps better than last week's (Election Night). EN felt routine, doing the expected (exit polls, speeches, etc) just to get it out of the way. PS was more relaxed, and therefore better. CJ's 'House of the Rising Sun' office looked cool.
Unfortunately this is the last we see of Bruno (though I know some people will be glad of that little fact).

Yeah he was a decent enough character.
But who's gonna miss him when the creme de la creme of recurring guests comes back?
All hail Timothy Busfield!!
(ps I remain unspoilt as to exactly when he returns, so don't no-one go telling me!)

I thought the episode was great. The President's new secretary Debbie is already adding some humour to the show. I like her already. Yeah it was obvious that Bartlett was going to win; Ritchie's "It's over" comment at the end of their debate suggested as much.

I thought Bruno was an excellent character and i thought PS was one of his finest episodes (although i loved the bit when he gave Margaret the necklace with her name on it inPosse Comitatus).
I'll be sad to see him go but also excited about the return of Timothy Busfield. He popped up in an episode of Ed the other day. Quite funny in it as well.

Timothy Busfield is a producer on Ed and directed the epi he acted in.
