Radio Times
'As Sam finalises the maddening details of Bartlet's upcoming summit with the Russian president, satellite photographs reveal an Iranian nuclear facility built with Russian technology. CJ is assigned Secret Service protection after one of her comments earns her a death threat. Charlie tries to unravel the mystery of a coded letter sent to the president.'
Apparently Ian mcShane is on this episode and Jon from BB has just announced live on rise that it is his fave prog at the moment and they showed a Trail!

a russian lovejoy, that was pretty surreal. almost as bad as jim robinson being vp in 24! the other bizarre factor from last night was those richard and judy ads! anyway back to the episode......wasnt one of my favourites this season, but did really like it. the toby stuff was just weird. bartlet's protective dad stuff with cj was really sweet. not enough josh for my liking....although nice to see him being the voice of reason over the heavy water issue. and another really lovely moment with bartlet and charlie being so nice to a random joe public.

Is this the one where Mark "spookily enough also an end-of- season-3 special guest star in my previous favourite US programme" Harmon appears?
or is that next week?
(I taped it and haven't watched it yet)
BTW my previous favourite American prog was Moonlighting, which people of a certain age will remember with either extreme fondness (first 3 series, i.e. until 'they did it') or extreme frustration (last 2 series, i.e. the 'er, where do we go with the characters now then' bit). Or they may not have been fans at all, in which case they missed one of the greatest progs of the last 20 years. How careless of them.

How good to know there are still some fans out there. Most people I work with are too young, and most of my other mates didn't watch it.
Was that a fair summary of the programme in your opinion? It was far, far better before the 'big bang' (yes they did call it that at the time, that's not me being corny) episode, don't you think? By the way they recently repeated THE WHOLE LOT on Paramount comedy channel and I taped them all. Cos let's face it, the BBC will never repeat it.

Yes I agree it wasn't as good once they had, but I still enjoyed it. I even have the Bruce Willis version of Under the Broadwalk on vinyl!
I can't believe you taped it off of Paramount - I've caught a few episodes but I wouldn't go that far.
I thought the was quite a good episode I like the caring Bartlett it is also a good start to the last few episodes.
Lovejoy was awful though (bad accent!), it could be worst Jim Robinson appears in series 4 as a member of the cabinet and is also on 24 as V.P very confusing

I hadn't seen it for 15 years....! And as I said terrestrial TV won't repeat it, and there are a lot of episodes worth keeping.
