I read this and thought he rather misrepresented the prog's politics through selective memory (no mention, for instance, of Bartlet's hawkish foreign policy in 'A Proportional Response' or the refusal to commute the death sentence) and overstatement (Mendoza 'the most liberal judge in the country': if that's a direct quote, as implied, then I will burn my DVD collection! and where in 'Six meetings Before Lunch' did Bartlet say he favoured reparations for ex-slaves? ). It's clear that, while obviously a liberal, Bartlet's politics are way to the right of many on the left in the UK and indeed miles to the right of Martin Sheen's. Still, it was nice to read an article praising the programme.
