Wed sept 24 SFGATE.com WEST WING STARS SETTLE PAY DISPUTE Cast members of Emmy-winning drama "The West Wing" have quietly resolved their four-month pay battle with TV bosses. Just days after winning its fourth Emmy in a row for best drama, American trade publication Daily Variety reports that last week stars Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford and John Spencer scooped huge pay rises which will rank them among the highest paid actors working on a TV drama. Exact figures on the increased salaries have yet to be disclosed, but sources say the pay rises will begin immediately. At one point, the stars had been seeking a hike from $90,000 to $150,000 per episode. As a result of the settlement with Warner Bros. Television, the stars have reportedly agreed to extend their deals by a year to a potential eighth season.
