Who exactly does Will Bailey work for now. Was really pleased when he became Deputy Communications Director but then he just randomly left to work for VPOTUS. Is it just me or does he seem to be at every Senior Staff meeting and present when every important decision is made. He must be superman, working for both POTUS and VPOTUS.

Will definately works for the VP - this will be confirmed in a future episode.
I would think - to make sense of it all- that the VP always had a representative in these meetings but we just didn't know who he was (there is always a lot of extras in each scene);or prehaps this is something that Bingo Bob and POTUS aggreed on when Will changed jobs or when he accepted the VP; or this is something that happens with 2nd term presidents.

That's reassuring. I just thought it was another symptom of mishandled plots...

Just watched Season 4 and I have to say that I don't think I'll ever be able to take will seriously.
Bring back Sam.

I'll take the "Toby's Sidekick" version of Sam for his humour.
Dry humour is definately something Will is lacking.

I used to quite like the idealistic and strong willed "Will", but must say that I now find him a bit of a non-event.
Bring back the will who told the president that a Kundunese life was worth less than an American life.

Y'know, I think Will is getting it in the neck rather unfairly. He was NEVER gonna be Sam, ever, take that as read. But I thought he was really well-drawn when he first came into season 4, and like Sam said, 'he's one of us'. I just watched Arctic Radar on DVD today and his first 2 scenes with Toby are among the best writing in the whole series, period. And he seemed - like our faves - to have principles and a heart.
Then Sorkin left and the others just turned him into a plot device. It was like, "Nope, I don't have those beliefs anymore, I'm going to work for that bloke I said was thick in the previous episode." Crap.
And whatever you think of him, he did have the single funniest line in the whole of season 4:
"What, was there a spread on this in 'Republican Vogue'?"
