Well, darn my socks, that was unexpected. JFK takes the lead I thought it would be a home run for Howard Dean. I'm interested to see how Clark and Lieberman fare when they get involved in this selection process.

I understand Madonna is backing Clark - it was a big surprise though - Dean was the favourite. By the way the BBC website is fantastic with their coverage.

Matt Frei, BBC News, said only one candidate to win in Iowa has ever gone on to win the presidency. I don't know if he was talking about the past 200 years, I've not checked. Talking of general election results, Iowa is Democrat territory. The state hasn't been won by a Republican since Ronald Reagan's victory in 1984.
