[/li][li]Despite excellent grades and ACT scores, Charlie decided to put off college until his sister graduates from high school (A Proportional Response). He started night classes in the summer semester of 2001 (18th and Potomac) and according to Sam, is a junior, creditwise. Intellectually speaking, Charlie's got some game (Bad Moon Rising).

Charlie joined the staff as the President's aide right after his mother, a police officer, was killed in the line of duty. He blames himself for her death because he had asked her to switch shifts.
