Ha! Mandy!Sorry to mock, but she was rubbish. Mandy always seemed a bit odd to me, like she didn't quite fit into the puzzle. Apparently this was part of the reason for her leaving at the end of season one, can't remember where I read it though. She did seem a bit volatile, no real relationships with the other cast members, and was always left out of everything - and what was her job exactly?[/color] |

As far as Mandy goes, Moira Kelly and Rob Lowe were supposed to be the big draw for season one, because, originally, Martin Sheen wasn't supposed to be in it as much as he is now. Moira and Rob were the big names and the rest were virtually unknowns. Their star power were meant to be the draws of the show.
However, the show itself took off and the cast as a whole became a hit! Plus, Martin was brought in full time as opposed to guest shots. They didn't need her "star power."
Fortunately, or unfortunately if you actually liked Mandy, her character didn't fit and at the end of season one Moira left the show, thus causing her character to disappear into "Mandy Land"
Other characters have also disappeared into Mandy Land being that their character disappeared without any real explaination....such as Ainsley, Jordan, Lionel Tribby, and Oliver Babbish....just to name a few.
Personally, I'm thrilled that Many is gone. I hated her character. I'm not real fond of Amy either.
